PAI high-temperature materials deliver exceptional performance: used in aerospace for thermal insulators, sector gears, bushings and screws; in automotive for transmission parts, hydraulic seals, axial thrust bearings, thrust washers and check balls; in oil & gas for seals, support rings, downhole guides, labyrinth seals, bearings and bushings; in machinery for bearings, gears, cams and wear rings.
PAI semi-thermoplastic injection molding is challenging: it requires high injection pressure and temperature for cavity filling, is single-shot moldable with no secondary injection, and is moisture-sensitive requiring thorough drying before processing.
